The Cooking Matters instance of Salesforce can be a useful tool in tracking contacts at host organizations, volunteers, and staff. To use this function:
Select View Contacts from Salesforce home page:
Select New from the 'Your Contacts' page:
Enter the required fields and save the record:
Record Type(s) | Definition | Required Fields |
Staff/AmeriCorps | Staff and AmeriCorps members at your organization as well as key staff at the partner organizations with whom you work (such as site/location staff) |

A note about tracking a contact’s programmatic activity history:
- If a person changes their role at an organization, then you only need to ensure that their record type reflects their current role. You do not need to create a new contact record for the individual.
- You can find an ongoing record of an individual’s program team affiliations (related to their current or past role) within their contact record.
